Our Approach
SilverPeak Construction managed the renovation through a clear, staged process with qualified carpenters, a tiler, plumber, electrician and plasterers involved throughout the project.
Demolition And Framing
The bathroom was fully stripped back so the space could be rebuilt properly. Our team completed the demolition and framing works, including structural preparation for the new layout, shower screen and bathroom accessories.
Rough-In And Wall Preparation
The plumber and electrician completed the rough-in before the plasterers sheeted, stopped up and sanded the walls. Walls were straightened and prepared to create a clean, even finish for the new bathroom.
Shower Base, Waterproofing And Flood Testing
Our team completed the shower base screed, waterproofed the shower area and carried out a 12-hour flood test. Careful floor grading was completed to support proper drainage and long-term durability.
Tiling And Final Fit-Off
The tiler completed the floor and wall tiling, including the fully tiled walk-in shower. Our team then returned with the plumber and electrician to complete the final fit-off before handover.
The Challenge & Learning
The client wanted the tiles to be a feature but was unsure about the layout. James suggested laying them out in order and numbering them, so the final placement was clear before installation.
Partway through the project, the client also changed her mind on the selected taps. James replaced them at no additional cost to make sure the final bathroom matched her preferences.
With several decisions changing along the way, the team kept communication clear, managed each update carefully and kept the renovation on track.
Project Outcomes
A Clean, Modern Finish
The completed bathroom has a refined contemporary look, with a spacious walk-in shower, built-in storage, wall-mounted shelving and a practical layout.
Completed On Time And Within Budget
Despite changes along the way, the bathroom renovation was completed within the 4-week timeframe and stayed on budget.
